We so appreciate you thinking of the Library with your memorials. With memorials totaling $50.00, a plaque in that person’s name is added to our memorial board. We purchase large print books with the donations. Memorials received recently are: In memory of Gary Paulsen from Russ and Pam Walcker, Howie and Bobbie Underwood, Bill and Carolyn Paulsen and Jennifer Braaten. In memory of Tom Griffen from Underwoods, in memory of Darlyne Wileman from Carolyn Paulsen, in memory of Ruth Fruend from Russ and Pam Walcker, in memory of Merle Mehus from Linda Bergenheier, in memory of Boyd Nerdahl  from Jennifer Braaten, in memory of Johnnie Oliver from Underwoods and in honor of Bill and Carolyn Paulsen’s 50th Anniversary from Russ and Pam Walcker. Thank you everyone

We have been working on what we call the resource room, adding all of those books to our inventory. In case you don’t know, in that room we have many biographies and autobiographies, filed by subject. If you want to read about Dolly Parton, we have the book, along with many, many others. Also in the resource room we have political books, science fiction, many westerns (both fiction and non-fiction), War books categorized by war, both fiction and non-fiction, North Dakota books, travel books and many others. Visit the resource room and take a look.

New books to the library are:
After the Crash by Michael Bussi – An airbus flying from Istanbul to Paris crashed into the side of a mountain. There were 2 infants on board, born within days of each other. All on the plane die except one baby who was thrown clear. Which baby lived? Which one died? Two families claim the child. Deception, deaths and countless twists and turns keep you reading to the very last page.

A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles has been on the New York Times bestseller list for 39 weeks.  Count Alexander Rastov is sentenced to house arrest in a grand hotel across the street from the Kremlin. He must live in an attic room while some of the most tumultuous decades is Russian history are unfolding outside the hotel’s door.

The Late Show by Michael Connelly – Michael Connelly introduces unto a new heroine, Renee Ballard, a LAPD detective assigned to the night shift. One night she gets two cases, a beating of a prostitute in a parking lot and the killing of a young woman in a nightclub shooting. The cases entwine and force Renee to confront an unimaginable danger.

Wild Fire by Nelson DeMille (John Corey series #4) – An exclusive club of America’s most powerful businessmen,  military leaders and government officials gather to discuss how to retaliate after 9?11. A rogue is plotting to detonate a nuke on American soil. John Corey must move fast!

The Hunter  by John Lescroart (Wyatt Hunt series #3) – Wyatt Hunt never had a desire to find his birth family until he gets a chilling text message, “How did your mother die?” He takes on a case he never knew existed.

Nothing to Lose by Lee Child (Jack Reacher series #12) – if you’ve read about Jack Reacher you know he doesn’t go looking for trouble, but trouble usually finds him!

If you’re a Vince Flynn fan, we have several new (to us) books for you to enjoy: Term Limits, a standalone novel
and these in the Mitch Rapp series: Transfer of Power (#3), Consent to Kill (#8). Act of Treason (#9), Protect and Defend (#10), The Last Men (#13) and The Survivor (#14).

We have many more books recently donated. Please come in to check them out. Be sure to look at the website finleypl.org and do a book search. You can not only look for the title of the book or the author of the book, but now you can look at the series to see if we have the next one you’re looking for. Try it!

Library hours are Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:00 PM and Fridays from 2:00 to 5:00PM.
